At Outdoor Alliance, we are just like you – we are hikers, paddlers, mountain bikers, climbers and backcountry skiers who care deeply about the places we recreate. We know our public lands, waters and snowscapes first hand, and we believe something special happens when you experience these places under your own power.
By giving a voice to the millions of us that pursue human powered outdoor recreation, we seek to protect and enjoy public landscapes.
This space will feature our perspectives on a range of issues affecting the human powered outdoor recreation community. We will track and translate national laws and policies that matter to our community; feature success stories from recreation projects around the nation; give a behind-the-scenes, more personal look at the advocacy work we do every day; and more.
We will also probably post a trip report or two from our ground truthing work – also
known as hiking, climbing, paddling, riding or skiing in some of the places we seek to protect.
